We are happy to announce that three of our solutions – JMultiViewer, JIPEncoder and JCapture, now support NDI protocol.
JMultiViewer now allow monitoring and analysis of the audio and video quality of all devices and solutions enabled with NDI software.
JIPEncoder now is enabled to encode in real-time NDI source into UDP, RTP, HLS or DASH for streaming outside of the local network.
JCapture can ingest the NDI source into MPEG, MP4 or MXF media files.
Both JCapture and JIPEncoder can produce multi-layer and multi-format output streams from a single NDI source.
This way Jongate’s product line is now enabled to ingest, stream and monitor NDI enabled applications and devices, which allows transmission of broadcast-quality video and audio signals over IP without the need of additional SDI cabling.
Our products provide end-to-end IP pipeline from acquisition to delivery through monitoring and analysis of video sources. With this newly added features our software applications enable all video devices on a network to connect with other video equipment on the same network. Any device enabled with NDI software can see and access content from all other devices on the network, allowing more sources to be used for live video production.
New Features
- Monitoring of multiple sources via NDI.
- Detection of black and freeze video frames as well as audio silence and noise of all monitored sources.
- Multi-layer and multi-format streaming from NDI source.
- Multi-layer and multi-format ingest from NDI source.
- Optimized video bandwidth on standard Ethernet networks.
About NDI
NewTek’s NDI is a royalty-free standard that allows multiple video systems to identify and communicate bi-directionally with one another over IP. It can encode, transmit, and receive multiple streams of broadcast-quality, low latency, frame-accurate video and audio in real time. This makes it possible to exponentially increase the number of sources available for live production switching, without directly attaching to devices, changing locations, or investing in expensive, high-bandwidth networks that simply replace SDI-based workflows.
