Capture from IP input is now available. The new release of JCapture brings you extended source feeds – for both Standard and PRO versions. The Capture and Encoding solution receives UDP, RTP and HLS IP input streams as well as SDI, HDMI, Component and Composite inputs.

The JCapture offers full transcoding of the input streams with predefined compression, multiplex and streaming profiles.

The capture from IP input is supported for the following compressions and formats:

  • AVC/H.264 Video;
  • AAC Audio;
  • MPEG-2 Video;
  • MPEG-2 Transport Stream;
  • MPEG Layer I/II/III audio.

They are all received over UDP, RTP or HLS protocols.

The supported output compressions and formats are:

  • AVC/H.264 Video;
  • AAC Audio;
  • MPEG-2 Video;
  • MPEG-2 Transport Stream;
  • MP4 (MPEG DASH);
  • MPEG Layer I/II/III audio.

The new IP input of the JCapture enables the solution for real-time IP Transcoding & Capturing. The solution can also perform real-time SDI Encoding & Capturing. With the new set of features some of most popular IP transcoding scenarios are possible.  JCapture can now capture from IP input like UDP/RTP MPEG-2 and transcode to AVC/H.264, AAC HLS.

During the live transcoding and capturing, JCapture can apply live graphics overlay onto the stream. The captured video file can be written with the logo and other branding CG in it. This way it is ready for later online publishing, for example. This functionality comes with the integrated graphics module and designer – JGraphics.

The audio volume levels can be adjusted dynamically during the capturing. The integrated Scheduler allows time-based automation of the product. Each capturing can be scheduled with start time, date and duration. The execcution can be set to once or on daily/weekly basis.
