We are glad to announce the new release of JIPEncoder. The new features include extended source feeds for both Standard and PRO version of the Encoder and IP Streaming solution. The JIPEncoder now can receive UDP, RTP and HLS IP input streams as well as SDI, HDMI, Component and Composite streams.
The Encoder and IP Streaming solution performs full transcoding of the input streams with pre-defined compression, multiplex and streaming profiles.
The newly supported IP input compressions and formats in JIPEncoder are:
- MPEG-2 Transport Stream,
- AVC/H.264 Video,
- MPEG-2 Video,
- AAC Audio,
- MPEG Layer I/II/III audio,
all received over UDP, RTP or HLS.
The supported IP output compressions and formats are:
- MPEG-2 Transport Stream,
- MP4 (MPEG DASH),
- AVC/H.264 Video,
- MPEG-2 Video,
- AAC Audio,
- MPEG Layer I/II/III audio,
all transmitted using UDP, RTP, HLS or MPEG-DASH.
With the new set of IP input the JIPEncoder can now serve as real-time IP to IP Transcoding & Streaming as well as real-time SDI to IP Encoding & Streaming solution. Some of most popular IP transcoding scenarios, such as UDP/RTP MPEG-2 to UDP/RTP AVC/H.264 and UDP/RTP to HLS, can now be served by JIPEncoder.
During the live transcoding and streaming, JIPEncoder allows live graphics overlay before passing the decoded video stream to the encoder and network streamer. This is possible using the integrated graphics module and designer. The audio volume levels can be adjusted dynamically during the streaming process. The integrated Scheduler allows time-based automation of the product, where each encoding can be scheduled with start time, date and duration and set to be executed once or on daily/weekly basis.
