The new JPlaylist has been released. The solution is designed to help our main playout solution JPlayout for building playlists, before sending the for playback. The playlist solution’s engine is the same of the playout solution so along with the playlist building it can be used for preview. The supported file formats in JPlaylist are the same as the ones supported in JPlayout: MPEG-2 PS/TS, MXF, MP4, MOV (QuickTime), AVI, XDCAM, HDV, AVC/H.264, MPEG-4, MPEG-2, MPEG-1, DV CPRO 25/50/100, JPEG 2000, MPEG Audio Layer I/II/III, AAC, WAV and more. Both JPlaylist and JPlayout support different files formats, resolution and frame rates mixed into a single playlist for playback or preview.
JPlaylist is designed for offline playlist building prior to sending them for playback.
Main features of JPlaylist are:
- Vast variety of output format resolutions and frame rates, from SD up to Full HD, including 3D;
- Software video and audio preview;
- Mixed file formats, with different compression, resolutions and frame rates in one playlist;
- On the fly rescaling and frame rate conversion to output to one output resolution and frame rate;
- Container supported: MPEG-TS/PS, MP4, QT, MXF, AVI, ASF/WMV, P2, AVC HD, Sony XDCAM, XAVC;
- Video compressions supported: MPEG-1/2, AVC/H.264, DV, DVCPRO 25/50/100, MPEG-4, JPEG 2000;
- Audio compressions supported: PCM, MPEG Audio Layer I/II/III, AAC, WMA, WAV;
- Offline and on the fly playlist editing;
- Audio volume metering and control;
- File trimmer for clip trimming;
- Logo editor for logo insertion available in preview;
- Playlists import and export;
- Easy-to-use graphical user interface.
